About me
------------------------ ✦ ------------------------
Hello! I am Katy Whittaker (known online by the alias Starsickles). I am an aspiring young artist with a deep love for the creative arts and focus on character-driven works. Growing up with the internet, The visual and audible arts were something that I took a great interest in from a young age. Now that I'm studying creative subjects for my A-levels, I've refined my skills in each creative aspect and continue to do so. I study Fine Art, Media Studies and English Literature. Originally I wanted to pursue an occupation in Architecture , but with further research I landed on Digital Media and Graphic Design. My goal is to be one of the end credits in an upcoming Animated movie, or be able to look at an advert or poster and say "I made that!".
Lunchtime clubs:
As the subject prefect for Art at school, one of my duties to help run lunchtime art clubs. Voluntarily I signed up to run Chatterbox club (games, arts and crafts) for Year 7-9.
I used my graphic design and art skills to create worksheets and lessons to help the club to create characters and create comics week by week. Week 1 we looked at the basics, then built up to creating comics for the school newspaper (The Maple).
